Past to Present
The original church building, erected in 1834, was destroyed by a fire on December 4, 1963.
The new building was dedicated on April 18, 1965. In the meantime, the congregation met in the American Legion Hall for church services. Some Sunday School classes as well as the youth group were held in the upstairs of the parsonage. The basic structure of the church was put into place professionally and the arches were put in using a crane. The rest of the church was finished by the men in the church. The inside of the church auditorium was finished by the pastor of the day, William Carter, who had been a finish carpenter before he became a pastor.
In 2011, the exterior of the church was updated with new siding.
